Why One Piece Is The Greatest Manga Of All Time?

One piece is a giant in the manga industry and its sheer domination is a sight to behold. This is despite the fact that it has one of the poorest visual medium- the anime. The problem with the anime is multi faceted- from its inconsistent animation to its slow adaptation of the true source along with too many episodes, it isnt appealing tv show. Getting someone into a 1157+ tv series with such slow pace is nearly impossible. Despite all these problems, it has become of the greatest franchise in the world. The entire credit goes to manga and its one and only creator- eiichiro oda. One piece manga is a masterpiece that is a level above its other peers. Following so many comics and mangas, I have observed that one piece has so many things over them: Consistently written good characters who develop with every arc. A story that doesnt feel like its overstaying its welcome- almost 1181 chapters in, and nobody is sick of one piece world. It doesn't feel like the author is milking the franchise but it is actually going in a flow. Consistent regular releases weekly release of 15-17+ pages chapter help in remaining connected with the story. It keeps the fandom active and happy. New meme stuff help us feel fresh. One man behind the work- oda is a monster who writes the story, plot, art, dialogues etc all alone. Compare this to other comics who have different people handing the stuff and yet cant keep consistent release. Now this is not to undermine other comics, but to glorify how special one piece it. Taste is subjective and people will prefer many other mangas over op, but if you could quantify a manga or judge them over a wide parameters, op will beat them all. If we compare it to death note, that was a phenomenon in itself, one piece easily wins over it by the fact that death note after l's death became pale. No other character could become as significant as l was. In one piece, the love that law and katakuri receive is just proof of how good characters oda can write even 1180 chapters in. It is truly a beautiful journey to be part of!
