Death of Nefertari Cobra | One Piece 1085 Full Summary

Reader request in the cover: Franky is leading some baby sea turtles to the sea.

Chapter starts where last one ended. Imu talks to Cobra.

Imu :"I have two things to tell you and one question to ask, Cobra."

Cobra is shocked, he thinks to himself that what he's seeing is impossible.

Imu speaks in the third person, he calls himself “Mu”.

Cobra: "Imu... I know that name!! It may be a coincidence, but among the “first 20"...

Imu: "Silence!!

You won't get any answer even if you ask, though I can tell you a few things...

First, “D” are the people who were “our” enemy in the past.

Although the recent “Ds” have no idea about the meaning of their names. The scholars who try to find the truth about Void Century, the pirates who try to find the Poneglyphs... All these are Lily's fault.

If she didn't make a “mistake” on that day, the Poneglyphs wouldn't be spreaded throughout the world.

However, there is one scenario that | suspected... That maybe the Poneglyphs were not spread throughout the world by “mistake”, but by a deliberate “plan”.

As Imu speaks, Five Elders draw their guns and points Cobra. Cobra thinks to himself he won't get out of the room alive.

Imu: "I believe the answer lies in the letter left by Lily. You called her “Queen Lily of Nefertari family”... But what is the actual name of the sender written in the letter?"

Cobra asks what his fate will be, one of the Five Elders answers his fate was decided the moment he saw Imu-sama.

Then Cobra starts to talk.

Cobra: "Queen Lily real name was “Nefertari D. Lily”..."

Imu: “D”.."

When Imu hears “D” in Lily's name, a black shadow arrow appears and stabs Cobra's abdomen (but it seems it's not from Imu).

Sabo, who has been hiding behind a pillar, appears and shoots fire at Imu.

However, Imu tranforms into a huge creature with a huge mouth and sharp teeth (we can't see him clearly, only the silhouette). Then Imu bites and swallows Sabo's fire.

Imu climbs down the throne while Five Elders transform into big creatures while they surround Sabo and Cobra.

We can't see them clearly, only their silhouettes.

  • One of them looks like bird (similar to Morgans).

  • Other one looks like an elephant/boar.

  • Other looks like a demon/oni (he has big horns).

  • It seems one of them has clouds floating around his neck, like Luffy or Lucci in awakened form (this is not 100% sure, because we only see his silhouette).

  • Last one is just a big silhouette (I can't describe him better).

Sabo grabs Cobra and tries to escape from the throne room. Imu tries to catch them. Cobra talks with Sabo.

Cobra: "Please, tell Vivi and Luffy this: "“We” all are “D” as well"."

A little flashback to Sabo's childhood starts.

Sabo comments that it's strange how both Ace and Luffy have “D” in their names. Ace replies him.

Ace: "I can give it to you too Sabo! 1 will call you “Sa D. Bo™!!"

Back to the present, we can see that Sabo and Cobra are both stabbed. Cobra starts to recite Lily's letter.

Cobra: "Protect the Poneglyph..."

Then we can't hear the next parts, because one of the Five Elder's roar (in creature form) covers Cobra's voice.

But we can hear last part of Lily's letter.

Cobra: "...Raise the flag of dawn to the world." Cobra stands and blocks Imu attack to let Sabo escape.

Sabo: "Cobra!!"

Then the scene cut to a few seconds later. We see Cobra on the floor, he's dead.

Wapol sees all what is happening through a hole in the wall. Imu notices Wapol is spying them. Wapol goes into panic and starts to eat through the walls to run away.

Wapol: "I shouldn't have seen this!!!"

After that, Reverie meeting room receives a message saying King Cobra and King Wapol won't be joining the meeting anymore.

In other room we can see Vivi has been captured by CPO. In the room are Lucci, Jabra, Kalifa and the other CPO members we saw in last chapters. Jabra and Kalifa got their introduction panels as Cipher Pol “Aigis” 0 members.

Jabra recaps other things that are happening in Mary Geoise right away. After the incident against Saint Charlos, Leo and Sai announced they're pirates under Straw Haw crew flag.

On the other side, it seems Fujitora allows slaves to escape and Ryokugyu yelled at him.

Suddenly, Wapol breaks into the room where Vivi and CPO are while he was escaping from the throne room.

That distracts CPO, so Vivi takes advantage of the situation and grabs on Wapol to escape.

Chapter ends with Vivi and Wapol running away while Wapol's wife sees them together. She is shocked...

Vivi: "Where are you going Wapol!?"

Wapol: "I will run to the end of the world, where nobody can find me!!"

Vivi: "Take me with you!!"

Kinderella: "They are running away together!!?"

Ubisoft Is Commencing The Remake Of Prince Of Persia

Ubisoft made the initial announcement of remaking "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" back in 2020, with plans for a release the following year. However, after almost three years, Ubisoft has provided an update on the highly anticipated game. According to a developer Q&A released by the company, the game is currently in the early stages of conception.

Ubisoft Montreal has taken over the project from Ubisoft Pune, and the team is actively considering community feedback while also shaping their own vision for the game. Producer Jean-Francois Naud explained in an in-house interview that they are in the process of assembling their team, creating prototypes, and conducting tests to refine various aspects of the game. He emphasized that the development is still in its early stages. As of now, Ubisoft has not disclosed a revised release date for the remake.

Prince Of Persia Trivia

  1. Inspired by Real-Life Parkour: The acrobatic movements and fluidity of Prince of Persia's protagonist were influenced by the real-life discipline of parkour. The developers aimed to create a character who could traverse environments with agility and grace, drawing inspiration from parkour practitioners.

  2. Groundbreaking Animation: The original Prince of Persia game, released in 1989, was notable for its realistic and lifelike animations. The developer, Jordan Mechner, actually filmed his younger brother performing various actions like running, jumping, and sword fighting, which were then rotoscoped to create the game's fluid character movements.

  3. The Sands of Time Trilogy: The Sands of Time was the first installment in a critically acclaimed trilogy. It was followed by two sequels, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (2004) and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (2005). The trilogy showcased a dark and mature storyline, evolving gameplay mechanics, and continued the adventures of the Prince.

  4. Return to 2D: In 2008, Ubisoft released Prince of Persia (2008), which marked a departure from the trilogy's 3D gameplay. The game returned to its 2D roots while introducing a new cel-shaded art style. It offered a more stylized and artistic approach to the series, featuring a unique visual presentation.

  5. A Forgotten Warrior: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (2010) served as a standalone entry in the series. It acted as a bridge between The Sands of Time trilogy and the 2008 reboot, and featured gameplay elements that combined the powers of the Sands of Time with new elemental abilities.

These trivia facts highlight some of the interesting aspects of the Prince of Persia series, including its inspirations, animation techniques, trilogy structure, stylistic changes, and the connection between different games in the franchise.

Everything You Need to Know About Lunarian Race

Unveiling a long-lost secret, Big Mom's desire for a crew member like King has led to a shocking revelation - King is an extraordinary individual belonging to the enigmatic Lunarian race. Once thought to be extinct, King stands as the sole confirmed survivor of this mysterious lineage. Intriguingly, the Lunarians resided atop the Red Line long before the arrival of the haughty Celestial Dragons. Renowned as "God" by none other than the legendary Whitebeard himself, the Lunarians possess an intriguing past that now unfolds before us.

The Vanishing of the Lunarian Race: Unraveling the Mystery of their Extinction

Regrettably, the Lunarian race has all but disappeared from existence, leaving only whispers of their presence behind. Even in Totto Land, the melting pot of diverse races, these enigmatic beings are nowhere to be found. The exact circumstances surrounding the extinction of the Lunarians remain shrouded in uncertainty. However, it appears that the World Government has undertaken a relentless campaign to eradicate not only the Lunarians but also their allies from the Ancient Kingdom. Desperation fuels the World Government's relentless pursuit of any trace of the Lunarians, as evidenced by an exorbitant bounty exceeding 100 million berries for any information about these elusive beings. Today, their tragic demise serves as a somber reminder of the lengths to which the World Government is willing to go in order to maintain its ironclad control over power.

Lunarian

Unlocking the Enigma: Unveiling the Appearance of the Lunarians

King's colossal stature leaves us wondering if all Lunarians possess towering frames or if he simply holds a height advantage among his kind. While predominantly human in appearance, Lunarians boast captivating traits that catch the eye. Their distinctive features include silver-white hair and brown skin, setting them apart from other races like Skypeians, Birkans, and Shandians. Moreover, their remarkable ability to traverse the skies is granted by the presence of black-feathered wings, enabling them to soar with grace. Notably, a fascinating attribute that adds to their uniqueness is the prominent giant flame that perpetually blazes upon their backs, further emphasizing their extraordinary nature.

Unleashing the Extraordinary Abilities of the Lunarian Race

The Lunarians stand out with their exceptional powers, showcasing physical resilience and mastery over fire manipulation. Renowned even by Queen as a monstrous being capable of surviving in any natural environment, King epitomizes their incredible capabilities. In the heat of battle, the Lunarians prove themselves formidable adversaries. They harness the power of flames to amplify the impact of their melee strikes, enveloping their limbs in fiery energy. This grants them the ability to unleash devastating fire blasts and mold the flames into colossal constructs. Notably, their durability is closely intertwined with the flames that burn upon their backs. As long as this fire blazes, their skin becomes virtually impenetrable.

However, extinguishing the flame exposes them to temporary vulnerability. Yet, in exchange for this brief susceptibility, they gain access to unparalleled speed, granting them an advantage that borders on the extraordinary.

Unveiling the Link: Seraphim and the Lunarian Connection

While King represents a natural-born Lunarian, an intriguing connection arises with the emergence of beings who lack Lunarian genes but were purposely crafted to emulate them. During Vegapunk's captivity on Punk Hazard, he gained access to King's Lineage Factor and embarked on a mad scientific endeavor. The result was the creation of artificial cyborgs known as Seraphim, specifically designed to resemble the former Warlords of the Sea. These Seraphim possess all the defining attributes of the Lunarian race, including brown skin, white hair, black wings, and the iconic flame that adorns their backs. Remarkably, unlike actual Lunarians, the flames on the Seraphim do not easily extinguish, heightening their resilience and making them even more formidable in combat.

Thus, an intricate bond between the Seraphim and the Lunarians comes to light, as Vegapunk's experimentation and manipulation intertwine to bridge the gap between natural-born Lunarians and their artificially created counterparts.

Unveiling the Mystery: Is Sanji a Lunarian?

Sanji's claim that his fiery abilities stem from his passionate nature may only convince Luffy, while others question the validity of such an explanation. It is highly unusual for an ordinary individual to be engulfed in flames unless they possess Lunarian heritage. Observers swiftly caught on to this intriguing detail, sparking theories about Sanji's potential Lunarian lineage. Following the events that unfolded in Whole Cake Island, it became increasingly evident that Sanji's extraordinary powers are rooted in his suppressed genetic makeup. While Vinsmoke Sanji deviates from the typical portrayal of a Lunarian, there remains a possibility that his father, Vinsmoke Judge, attempted to introduce some Lunarian genes into his son. However, no concrete confirmation has been made thus far.

Born and raised in the Germa Kingdom alongside his brothers under the watch of their less-than-affectionate father, Vinsmoke Judge, Sanji underwent peculiar genetic modifications in the womb. These alterations aimed to bestow upon them superhuman abilities and agility.

The notion of Sanji being a Lunarian may appear far-fetched, yet within the whimsical world of One Piece, where possibilities abound, it is not entirely implausible.

The Exploration Of The Ancient Weapons' Power

Delving into the mysteries of the Void Century reveals a profound connection with the ancient civilization of the Ancient Kingdom and their enigmatic creations, the Ancient Weapons. Unveiling the secrets of this lost era has the potential to resurrect the power and significance of these formidable artifacts, thereby reshaping the delicate balance of power in the world. The emergence of these ancient weapons could ignite massive conflicts and forge unexpected alliances as factions vie to control or eradicate these sources of immeasurable power. Among the known Ancient Weapons, Poseidon possesses the ability to communicate with the mighty Sea Kings, adding to its mystique and desirability.

The quest for Gol D. Roger's treasure and the search for the road poneglyphs have already caused turmoil within the Grand Line. The revelation of the existence and true importance of the ancient weapons would amplify these tensions, potentially driving even the closest of friends to become adversaries. Understanding the history of the Void Century would shed light on Poseidon's true nature and elucidate the deep connection between its wielder and the enigmatic Sea Kings. This knowledge would provide insights into their purpose and the immense influence they can exert over the vast seas, allowing for a greater comprehension of their potential and the implications they hold for the world at large.

The Three Ancient Weapons

In the world of One Piece, the Ancient Weapons are renowned as incredibly potent instruments of mass destruction, possessing the capability to bring about the total annihilation of the world. Their immense power is so formidable that they were named after deities, namely Pluton, Poseidon, and Uranus, drawing parallels to the godlike forces they embody. The significance of the Ancient Weapons becomes evident when examining the enigmatic Void Century, an essential component of the overarching plot in the One Piece universe.

During the distant past, the enigmatic Ancient Kingdom, whose name remains unknown to fans, flourished as a powerful entity. However, this era witnessed a monumental shift in power due to a war involving multiple kingdoms, with records of this conflict largely eradicated. The details of this century-long void, which transpired approximately 900 to 800 years ago, remain shrouded in mystery. At its conclusion, the World Government was established by 20 kings, whose descendants relocated to the lofty city of Mariejois and eventually became known as the Celestial Dragons. It is widely believed that the Ancient Weapons were either "created" or employed by the Ancient Kingdom in their fateful war against a formidable adversary from their past.

While the true nature and events of the Void Century continue to elude fans, the presence and significance of the Ancient Weapons signify their pivotal role in shaping the world of One Piece. Unraveling the mysteries surrounding these legendary artifacts and their origins holds the potential to unveil the secrets of the past and shed light on the grand history that has influenced the present state of affairs.

Among the Ancient Weapons, Uranus remains a mystery to One Piece fans, with little to no information available about its nature or capabilities. However, the other two Ancient Weapons have been explored by Oda to some extent. The first of these weapons to be introduced in the story is Pluton, which holds immense significance in the history of One Piece. It is believed that the Ancient Kingdom utilized Pluton to resist their powerful adversaries. Pluton takes the form of a warship that was constructed over 800 years ago on the island of Water 7. Its power is described as being so immense that a single attack has the potential to obliterate an entire island. To safeguard this devastating weapon, the blueprints of Pluton were passed down through generations within the shipwrights of Water 7, until they eventually fell into the hands of Franky. Trusting in Nico Robin, Franky destroyed the blueprints, ensuring that they would not be misused. Presently, the whereabouts of Pluton remain unknown.

Additionally, Princess Shirahoshi, a mermaid in One Piece, has been linked to the Ancient Weapons. Although the exact connection between Shirahoshi and the Ancient Weapons is yet to be fully revealed, her importance in the grand scheme of these powerful artifacts is hinted at throughout the story. As the narrative progresses, more details about Shirahoshi's role in relation to the Ancient Weapons may be unveiled, adding further depth and intrigue to the ongoing plot of One Piece.

In subsequent story arcs, Oda introduced another Ancient Weapon known as Poseidon to the fans. Unlike Pluton, Poseidon is not a weapon or warship but rather a mermaid who is reborn every few centuries in the world of One Piece. It is believed that Poseidon's power will eventually be guided by a chosen individual to ensure its proper use. The identity of the previous Poseidon remains a mystery, but currently, the daughter of King Neptune and Queen Otohime, Shirahoshi, possesses this extraordinary ability. As one of the strongest characters in the One Piece world, Shirahoshi possesses the potential to become a devastating force.

Poseidon's unique power lies in her ability to communicate with and command the mighty Sea Kings, making her an invaluable ally to those who befriend her. The Sea Kings are fiercely loyal to her, and while she may not possess great physical strength herself, the power she wields surpasses even the mightiest individuals in the world. To comprehend Shirahoshi's immense strength, one need only consider the Noah, a monumental ark cherished by the Fishmen and Merfolk who believe it will transport them to the surface when Joy Boy returns to fulfill his promise. The Noah itself is larger than half the size of Fishman Island, an already colossal landmass. Yet, with just a few commands from Shirahoshi, the Sea Kings effortlessly halted the Noah's advance. If she desired, Shirahoshi could easily submerge multiple islands and bring about the destruction of the entire world. In the ongoing narrative, Shirahoshi's role as Poseidon will undoubtedly be explored further, unveiling her significance in the story's future developments.

One Piece 1084 Highlights - The God's Knight

In the previous chapter, we witness the Revolutionaries carrying out their three primary objectives, as Sabo clearly outlines at the beginning of the chapter. In addition to rescuing Kuma and other slaves whenever possible, their primary goal was to publicly declare war against the Celestial Dragons, which ultimately led to the Eight Nation Revolution, although only four of the nations were successful in achieving this. These nations ceased supplying their resources to Mary Geoise, and we discover that in addition to the celestial tribute, countries must also share their supplies and natural resources in bulk with the Celestial Dragons. As a result, the Revolutionaries destroy the pantries of Mary Geoise, causing the Celestial Dragons to experience what it's like to live without resources for the first time. This is sure to cause chaos in Celestial Dragon society, given their typical greediness. Essentially, this creates a resource siege, placing the Government in a challenging chokehold.

One Piece 1084 Highlights

Dragon is convinced that the declaration of war against the Celestial Dragons will trigger a full-scale conflict, which will involve the Gods' Knights, or "Kami no Kishidan" in Japanese. This group is a relatively new addition to the One Piece world, and their exact nature is still unclear. They were mentioned briefly in Chapter 1054, where the Marines indicated that they would handle the assassination attempt on St. Charlos. Some fans initially speculated that they might be a more specialized unit within the knights who guard Mary Geoise, but Dragon's comments suggest that they may be a separate and even more dedicated military force, possibly surpassing even CP Aigis 0, the Celestial Dragons' infamous Shields. This emphasizes the immense challenge of attacking the Celestial Dragons, who can summon not only the Admirals but also rely on the protection of both CP0 and the Gods' Knights. While the silhouette of the Gods' Knights vaguely resembles that of Shanks, there is little information to go on at this point, and it is uncertain whether they will be a group of named characters or something more akin to the Orochi Oniwabanshu.

One Piece 1084 Review - Karasu's Logia Power

The first topic we'll delve into in this chapter is discovering how Karasu fights. After years of uncertainty, we finally learn how his Susu Susu no Mi, or Soot Soot Fruit, works. It appears to be a Logia type that allows him to transform into a soot or tar-like substance, which is essentially burned carbon. Despite this, Karasu can convert his Logia elements into living creatures, which raises the question of how this is possible.

I previously proposed this concept in my fan manga, Return to the Reverie. It's highly plausible that Logia Awakenings enable users to transform their element into living creatures. We've seen examples of this with Akainu, Aokiji, and even Enel, who have all transformed their elements into living creatures capable of independent movement. Karasu may be using a similar technique by creating crows made of soot, which are pitch black, lack visible features, and can interact and speak with others. This ability could be a unique aspect of certain Logia fruits, rather than an awakening.

As far back as the pre-timeskip, we witnessed Karasu utilizing this skill by using his crows to send messages throughout the Revolutionary Army, indicating that he has a significant range for extending his abilities. His mastery of his Logia powers is also evident, as he can create various shapes, including wings to fly or divide his body into multiple crows. Additionally, he appears to be impervious to bullets, although it's uncertain whether this is due to his ability to foresee attacks like Katakuri or if the Government agents lacked haki when shooting at him.

During this encounter, Karasu also unveils a few new attacks:

  • His initial technique is named "Karasusu," which is a play on words between "Karasu" meaning "crow," and "susu" meaning "soot."
  • Next up is "Oberisusu," which incorporates the word "obelisk" with the previous soot pun.
  • Lastly, he uses "Renkon," which alludes to the shape of a lotus root, resembling a cylinder with holes similar to the one formed by Karasu's crows. However, the kanji used to write it, "連魂," translates to "group of souls," hinting that all the crows are somewhat alive.

It's worth noting that all the members of CP9 make a return, including Bueno and Kalifa, who we already knew about from Film RED. Jabra, Fukurou, and Kumadori also make an appearance. Some fans might be surprised to see them working for CP0, but according to Oda, the CP0 agents with masks are the most formidable, while those without masks are generally just foot soldiers. It's unclear if characters like Jabra have their masks hidden away somewhere, but it's reasonable to assume that only Lucci and Kaku are considered elite members.

Philippines Men’s MLBB Secures 3rd Straight SEAG Gold Medal

The SIBOL team of the Philippines has showcased their supremacy in the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang by securing a resounding 3-0 triumph over Malaysia at the 32nd SEA Games. This victory marks their third consecutive gold medal in MLBB, which was included as a medal sport along with other esports categories at the 30th SEA Games held in 2019. The starting lineup of SIBOL comprises of players from Bren Esports, led by experienced head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro.
SIBOL underwent a challenging playoffs phase when they encountered Myanmar's top contenders in the semi-final yesterday. The match was an intense 2-1 battle, and SIBOL emerged victorious, securing a spot in the grand final. In the grand final, a clash of two distinct team-building strategies occurred: chemistry versus star potential. SIBOL had a lineup of the seasoned starting five from Bren Esports, while Malaysia's team showcased star players from different MPL MY teams. In the end, SIBOL's game plan of putting forth a united and efficient team emerged as a crucial element in their triumph. While Bren Esports comfortably clinched the series, the victory was hard-earned, especially during the initial and second games, when Malaysia displayed a formidable resistance against the Philippine team. Moreover, this win is also significant as Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel secures his second SEA Games medal after representing the Philippines in 2019.

Philippines and Indonesia Dominate The Mobile Legends in 32nd SEA Games

The 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia has reignited the intense rivalry between two of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's strongest regions. The Philippines and Indonesia have both earned places in the highly anticipated grand final showdown scheduled for later today at 5:35 p.m. GMT+7. At 3 p.m. GMT+7, Vietnam and Malaysia will battle it out in the bronze medal match, while Indonesia looks to continue their dominant performance in the grand final against the Philippines at 5:35 p.m. GMT+7. So far, Indonesia has been unstoppable in the tournament, winning all their best-of-one matches on the first day without any losses.

They even managed to defeat the favored Philippines team, who were then forced to face a stronger Malaysian team in the semifinals. However, the Philippines managed to overcome the challenge and secured a 2-0 victory to earn their place in the grand final against Indonesia. Laos and Cambodia had a difficult time in the tournament, losing all their matches and missing out on an opportunity to compete for a medal. Neither team was able to secure a victory in their respective group. The stakes are high for the victorious team, as this is the first time Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been included in the Southeast Asian Games. The winning team will have the chance to make history and etch their names in the record books.

The focus then shifts to the eight kingdoms that oppose the World Government, their reasons for doing so, and the government's response to their refusal to pay taxes.

The chapter then moves on to Sabo's fight against Admirals Aramaki and Issho, with Karasu, Morley, and Lindbergh providing backup. The CP0 organization also intervenes in the battle, adding more complexity to the situation.

Sabo accounts for the mission being accomplished and the declaration of war against the World Government, with the release of Bartholomew Kuma being an added bonus. Monkey D Dragon states that the real war has now begun, with the Revolutionary Army making their first move by destroying supply ships headed for Marijois.

The chapter ends with the news of King Nefertari Cobra's death, Sabo as the main accused, and the King's request to his guards to take care of his daughter, Princess Nefertari Cobra.

Overall, this chapter sets up the next phase of the storyline, with the declaration of war against the World Government and the Revolutionary Army's first move. The inclusion of the eight kingdoms and their opposition to the government also adds more depth to the One Piece universe. The chapter ends with a cliffhanger, leaving readers eager to find out what happens next.

Crocodile

Sir Crocodile, also known as the "Desert King," is a former president of the notorious Baroque Works criminal organization. He operated under the alias "Mr. 0" while his vice-president and partner, Nico Robin, went by the name "Miss All Sunday." He is the main antagonist of the Arabasta Arc and the overarching Arabasta Saga, and later appears as a supporting character in the Impel Down and Marineford Arcs. Crocodile is a formidable foe and is one of the most significant adversaries in the series. He was the first enemy to hand Luffy a crushing defeat. Initially, Crocodile was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, but he lost his title after trying to take over the Arabasta Kingdom.

crocodile

Luffy frees Crocodile from Impel Down in exchange for his assistance in rescuing his brother, and Crocodile joins the Summit War on the side of Luffy and the Whitebeard Pirates. Following the war, Crocodile establishes the Cross Guild in the New World with Dracule Mihawk, another former Warlord. The organization's figurehead is Buggy, a current member of the Four Emperors, who serves as a distraction to attract unwanted attention away from the guild's true leaders. Crocodile's powers stem from the Suna Suna no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform his body into sand. He has honed his ability to the point of perfection and can reflexively turn into sand if attacked. In a desert or sandy area, he is nearly invincible and can create sandstorms, quicksand, and bladed weapons. He can also absorb all moisture from living and non-living objects via his right hand, which causes dehydration and destruction. However, this technique does not work on metallic substances, and any moisture that comes into contact with his body immediately reverts to a solid form.

Dracule Mihawk

Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk, a renowned pirate, is famously known as the "Strongest Swordsman in the World." He was once a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and was the first to be introduced to the audience. Mihawk was also known as the "Marine Hunter" due to his reputation as the rival of Shanks, one of the Four Emperors. He currently resides on Kuraigana Island and served as Roronoa Zoro's swordsmanship trainer during the two-year timeskip. Mihawk, along with his former Warlord peer Crocodile, founded the Cross Guild, with Buggy acting as the organization's figurehead leader. Zoro considers Mihawk as the ultimate obstacle in his quest to become the world's strongest swordsman, given his status and title.

Mihawk played a supporting antagonist role in the Baratie Arc and was a significant antagonist in the Marineford Arc, where he participated in the Summit War of Marineford on the side of the Marines, along with most of the other Warlords of the Sea. Mihawk's swordsmanship skill is unparalleled, earning him the title of the "Strongest Swordsman in the World." His mastery in swordsmanship even surpasses his former rival Shanks, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. He effortlessly defeated Zoro with a single knife, despite Zoro being a renowned swordsman all over the East Blue, two years before. Mihawk's swordsmanship is extremely versatile; he can create immensely powerful compressed air slashes that are able to destroy gigantic ships and enormous icebergs from great distances by using the "Strong Blade" swordsmanship, and can deflect the course of bullets with masterful and graceful precision using the "Gentle Blade" swordsmanship. He is also able to cut through steel with extreme ease and precision, as demonstrated with the steel-bodied Mr. 1, whom even Zoro struggled to defeat. Mihawk is also a talented teacher, as shown by Zoro's significant improvement in training under him for two years, which is more than the dojo had taught him in the many years he had trained there. Zoro himself admitted that even after training with Mihawk, he is still not anywhere near his level of skill as a swordsman, further attesting to Mihawk's combat and fighting prowess. He was later seen together with Crocodile on Karai Bari Island with a beat up Buggy, due to the latter not only being recognized in the world as an Emperor but also as the leader of their new organization. Although feeling greatly insulted, he claimed that Buggy taking all the heat as a figurehead may not be the worst idea. He further added that he was not interested in the title of Emperor, preferring to live peacefully and that they could always get rid of Buggy when the need arises, which Crocodile agreed to Mihawk's suggestion. He was then, together with Crocodile, introduced by Buggy to his followers.

Team Aster 2-0 Team Spirit

The day kicked off with a match between China's Team Aster, who had Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan as a stand-in, and TI10 champions Team Spirit, who were pushed down to the lower bracket by the Gaimin Gladiators on the first day of the Playoffs.

SumaiL's outstanding gameplay in game one, where he scored an impressive 17 kills and 17 assists as Windranger, was one of the major highlights of the Major. His exceptional performance helped Aster crush Spirit 42-11 in a 37-minute game.

In game two, SumaiL once again showcased his skills as Windranger, alongside Du "Monet" Peng's Alchemist. The duo managed to secure a 2-0 series sweep in just 44 minutes, with a combined 24 kills and 37 assists against only seven deaths. This one-two punch proved to be too much for Spirit to handle, and they were knocked out of the Major.

Team Liquid 2-1 Xtreme Gaming

The second series of the day saw a shaky Team Liquid take on the second of three Chinese teams in the lower bracket: Xtreme Gaming. While Xtreme put up a good fight, Liquid still emerged victorious in three games and are slowly regaining their once-dominant form.

Xtreme came out swinging to start the series and outlasted Liquid in a 53-minute slugfest in game one behind Daniel "Ghost" Chan's Drow Ranger, who finished with 15 kills against two deaths.

Liquid struck back hard in game two, utterly dominating Xtreme to the tune of a very lopsided 28-4 kill lead in just 26 minutes. The Western European juggernauts kept the ball rolling in the decider, ousting their Chinese opponents from the Major after a 28-11, 41-minute rout.

Evil Geniuses 2-0 Shopify Rebellion

The final series of the day featured a showdown between the North American team Shopify Rebellion and South America's EG. The last time these two teams met in a Major Playoff was during the lower bracket quarterfinals of the Lima Major, where Shopify Rebellion knocked EG out of the tournament in front of their home crowd. However, EG managed to get their revenge in the most one-sided match of the Berlin Major so far, sweeping Shopify Rebellion in a combined 56 minutes of gameplay and sending them packing.

EG started the match by one-upping Liquid's dominant win over Xtreme with an even more impressive performance, racking up 28 kills while only conceding three deaths in just 29 minutes. Crhistian "Pakazs" Savina then delivered a stellar performance on Alchemist, finishing with 10 kills and a net worth of 26,800 gold, as EG ended Shopify Rebellion's run in Berlin with a 27-minute beatdown.

With these results, Aster, Liquid, and EG have all secured at least a Top 8 finish, as well as US$12,500 and 200 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points in winnings. They will now advance to the next round of the lower bracket, where they will face off against each other.

Aster will face Liquid, while EG will take on the winner of the last lower bracket round 1 match between China's PSG.LGD and Southeast Asia's Talon Esports, which will open day three of the Playoffs.

The Berlin Major Playoffs follows a double-elimination format where all matches, except for the Grand Finals, which will be a full best-of-five series, are best-of-three. The tournament will take place from 26 April to 7 May and will feature 18 of the best teams in the DPC competing for their share of the US$500,000 prize pool and 2,700 DPC point pool. These points will contribute to securing direct invites to this year's iteration of The International, Dota 2's annual multimillion-dollar world championship tournament.
