The emergence of these ancient weapons could ignite massive conflicts and forge unexpected alliances as factions vie to control or eradicate these sources of immeasurable power. Among the known Ancient Weapons, Poseidon possesses the ability to communicate with the mighty Sea Kings, adding to its mystique and desirability.

The quest for Gol D. Roger's treasure and the search for the road poneglyphs have already caused turmoil within the Grand Line. The revelation of the existence and true importance of the ancient weapons would amplify these tensions, potentially driving even the closest of friends to become adversaries. Understanding the history of the Void Century would shed light on Poseidon's true nature and elucidate the deep connection between its wielder and the enigmatic Sea Kings. This knowledge would provide insights into their purpose and the immense influence they can exert over the vast seas, allowing for a greater comprehension of their potential and the implications they hold for the world at large.

The Three Ancient Weapons

In the world of One Piece, the Ancient Weapons are renowned as incredibly potent instruments of mass destruction, possessing the capability to bring about the total annihilation of the world. Their immense power is so formidable that they were named after deities, namely Pluton, Poseidon, and Uranus, drawing parallels to the godlike forces they embody. The significance of the Ancient Weapons becomes evident when examining the enigmatic Void Century, an essential component of the overarching plot in the One Piece universe.

During the distant past, the enigmatic Ancient Kingdom, whose name remains unknown to fans, flourished as a powerful entity. However, this era witnessed a monumental shift in power due to a war involving multiple kingdoms, with records of this conflict largely eradicated. The details of this century-long void, which transpired approximately 900 to 800 years ago, remain shrouded in mystery. At its conclusion, the World Government was established by 20 kings, whose descendants relocated to the lofty city of Mariejois and eventually became known as the Celestial Dragons. It is widely believed that the Ancient Weapons were either "created" or employed by the Ancient Kingdom in their fateful war against a formidable adversary from their past.

While the true nature and events of the Void Century continue to elude fans, the presence and significance of the Ancient Weapons signify their pivotal role in shaping the world of One Piece. Unraveling the mysteries surrounding these legendary artifacts and their origins holds the potential to unveil the secrets of the past and shed light on the grand history that has influenced the present state of affairs.


Among the Ancient Weapons, Uranus remains a mystery to One Piece fans, with little to no information available about its nature or capabilities. However, the other two Ancient Weapons have been explored by Oda to some extent. The first of these weapons to be introduced in the story is Pluton, which holds immense significance in the history of One Piece. It is believed that the Ancient Kingdom utilized Pluton to resist their powerful adversaries. Pluton takes the form of a warship that was constructed over 800 years ago on the island of Water 7. Its power is described as being so immense that a single attack has the potential to obliterate an entire island. To safeguard this devastating weapon, the blueprints of Pluton were passed down through generations within the shipwrights of Water 7, until they eventually fell into the hands of Franky. Trusting in Nico Robin, Franky destroyed the blueprints, ensuring that they would not be misused. Presently, the whereabouts of Pluton remain unknown.

Additionally, Princess Shirahoshi, a mermaid in One Piece, has been linked to the Ancient Weapons. Although the exact connection between Shirahoshi and the Ancient Weapons is yet to be fully revealed, her importance in the grand scheme of these powerful artifacts is hinted at throughout the story. As the narrative progresses, more details about Shirahoshi's role in relation to the Ancient Weapons may be unveiled, adding further depth and intrigue to the ongoing plot of One Piece.


In subsequent story arcs, Oda introduced another Ancient Weapon known as Poseidon to the fans. Unlike Pluton, Poseidon is not a weapon or warship but rather a mermaid who is reborn every few centuries in the world of One Piece. It is believed that Poseidon's power will eventually be guided by a chosen individual to ensure its proper use. The identity of the previous Poseidon remains a mystery, but currently, the daughter of King Neptune and Queen Otohime, Shirahoshi, possesses this extraordinary ability. As one of the strongest characters in the One Piece world, Shirahoshi possesses the potential to become a devastating force.

Poseidon's unique power lies in her ability to communicate with and command the mighty Sea Kings, making her an invaluable ally to those who befriend her. The Sea Kings are fiercely loyal to her, and while she may not possess great physical strength herself, the power she wields surpasses even the mightiest individuals in the world. To comprehend Shirahoshi's immense strength, one need only consider the Noah, a monumental ark cherished by the Fishmen and Merfolk who believe it will transport them to the surface when Joy Boy returns to fulfill his promise. The Noah itself is larger than half the size of Fishman Island, an already colossal landmass. Yet, with just a few commands from Shirahoshi, the Sea Kings effortlessly halted the Noah's advance. If she desired, Shirahoshi could easily submerge multiple islands and bring about the destruction of the entire world. In the ongoing narrative, Shirahoshi's role as Poseidon will undoubtedly be explored further, unveiling her significance in the story's future developments.

One Piece 1084 Highlights - The God's Knight

In the previous chapter, we witness the Revolutionaries carrying out their three primary objectives, as Sabo clearly outlines at the beginning of the chapter. In addition to rescuing Kuma and other slaves whenever possible, their primary goal was to publicly declare war against the Celestial Dragons, which ultimately led to the Eight Nation Revolution, although only four of the nations were successful in achieving this. These nations ceased supplying their resources to Mary Geoise, and we discover that in addition to the celestial tribute, countries must also share their supplies and natural resources in bulk with the Celestial Dragons. As a result, the Revolutionaries destroy the pantries of Mary Geoise, causing the Celestial Dragons to experience what it's like to live without resources for the first time. This is sure to cause chaos in Celestial Dragon society, given their typical greediness. Essentially, this creates a resource siege, placing the Government in a challenging chokehold.

Dragon is convinced that the declaration of war against the Celestial Dragons will trigger a full-scale conflict, which will involve the Gods' Knights, or "Kami no Kishidan" in Japanese. This group is a relatively new addition to the One Piece world, and their exact nature is still unclear. They were mentioned briefly in Chapter 1054, where the Marines indicated that they would handle the assassination attempt on St. Charlos. Some fans initially speculated that they might be a more specialized unit within the knights who guard Mary Geoise, but Dragon's comments suggest that they may be a separate and even more dedicated military force, possibly surpassing even CP Aigis 0, the Celestial Dragons' infamous Shields. This emphasizes the immense challenge of attacking the Celestial Dragons, who can summon not only the Admirals but also rely on the protection of both CP0 and the Gods' Knights. While the silhouette of the Gods' Knights vaguely resembles that of Shanks, there is little information to go on at this point, and it is uncertain whether they will be a group of named characters or something more akin to the Orochi Oniwabanshu.

One Piece 1084 Review - Karasu's Logia Power

The first topic we'll delve into in this chapter is discovering how Karasu fights. After years of uncertainty, we finally learn how his Susu Susu no Mi, or Soot Soot Fruit, works. It appears to be a Logia type that allows him to transform into a soot or tar-like substance, which is essentially burned carbon. Despite this, Karasu can convert his Logia elements into living creatures, which raises the question of how this is possible.

I previously proposed this concept in my fan manga, Return to the Reverie. It's highly plausible that Logia Awakenings enable users to transform their element into living creatures. We've seen examples of this with Akainu, Aokiji, and even Enel, who have all transformed their elements into living creatures capable of independent movement. Karasu may be using a similar technique by creating crows made of soot, which are pitch black, lack visible features, and can interact and speak with others. This ability could be a unique aspect of certain Logia fruits, rather than an awakening.

As far back as the pre-timeskip, we witnessed Karasu utilizing this skill by using his crows to send messages throughout the Revolutionary Army, indicating that he has a significant range for extending his abilities. His mastery of his Logia powers is also evident, as he can create various shapes, including wings to fly or divide his body into multiple crows. Additionally, he appears to be impervious to bullets, although it's uncertain whether this is due to his ability to foresee attacks like Katakuri or if the Government agents lacked haki when shooting at him.

During this encounter, Karasu also unveils a few new attacks:

• His initial technique is named "Karasusu," which is a play on words between "Karasu" meaning "crow," and "susu" meaning "soot."
• Next up is "Oberisusu," which incorporates the word "obelisk" with the previous soot pun.
• Lastly, he uses "Renkon," which alludes to the shape of a lotus root, resembling a cylinder with holes similar to the one formed by Karasu's crows. However, the kanji used to write it, "連魂," translates to "group of souls," hinting that all the crows are somewhat alive.

It's worth noting that all the members of CP9 make a return, including Bueno and Kalifa, who we already knew about from Film RED. Jabra, Fukurou, and Kumadori also make an appearance. Some fans might be surprised to see them working for CP0, but according to Oda, the CP0 agents with masks are the most formidable, while those without masks are generally just foot soldiers. It's unclear if characters like Jabra have their masks hidden away somewhere, but it's reasonable to assume that only Lucci and Kaku are considered elite members.

Dracule Mihawk

Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk, a renowned pirate, is famously known as the "Strongest Swordsman in the World." He was once a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and was the first to be introduced to the audience. Mihawk was also known as the "Marine Hunter" due to his reputation as the rival of Shanks, one of the Four Emperors. He currently resides on Kuraigana Island and served as Roronoa Zoro's swordsmanship trainer during the two-year timeskip. Mihawk, along with his former Warlord peer Crocodile, founded the Cross Guild, with Buggy acting as the organization's figurehead leader. Zoro considers Mihawk as the ultimate obstacle in his quest to become the world's strongest swordsman, given his status and title.

Mihawk played a supporting antagonist role in the Baratie Arc and was a significant antagonist in the Marineford Arc, where he participated in the Summit War of Marineford on the side of the Marines, along with most of the other Warlords of the Sea. Mihawk's swordsmanship skill is unparalleled, earning him the title of the "Strongest Swordsman in the World." His mastery in swordsmanship even surpasses his former rival Shanks, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. He effortlessly defeated Zoro with a single knife, despite Zoro being a renowned swordsman all over the East Blue, two years before. Mihawk's swordsmanship is extremely versatile; he can create immensely powerful compressed air slashes that are able to destroy gigantic ships and enormous icebergs from great distances by using the "Strong Blade" swordsmanship, and can deflect the course of bullets with masterful and graceful precision using the "Gentle Blade" swordsmanship. He is also able to cut through steel with extreme ease and precision, as demonstrated with the steel-bodied Mr. 1, whom even Zoro struggled to defeat. Mihawk is also a talented teacher, as shown by Zoro's significant improvement in training under him for two years, which is more than the dojo had taught him in the many years he had trained there. Zoro himself admitted that even after training with Mihawk, he is still not anywhere near his level of skill as a swordsman, further attesting to Mihawk's combat and fighting prowess. Mihawk is known as the "Strongest Swordsman in the World" because of his unparalleled skill with a sword. His vast mastery in swordsmanship even surpasses the skill level of his former rival Shanks, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. He was also able to effortlessly defeat Zoro, a swordsman who is renowned all over the East Blue, two years prior with a single knife. Mihawk's swordsmanship is extremely versatile; he can create immensely powerful compressed air slashes that are able to destroy gigantic ships and enormous icebergs from great distances by using the "Strong Blade" swordsmanship, and can deflect the course of bullets with masterful and graceful precision using the "Gentle Blade" swordsmanship. He was later seen together with Crocodile on Karai Bari Island with a beat up Buggy, due to the latter not only being recognized in the world as an Emperor but also as the leader of their new organization. Although feeling greatly insulted, he claimed that Buggy taking all the heat as a figurehead may not be the worst idea. He further added that he was not interested in the title of Emperor, preferring to live peacefully and that they could always get rid of Buggy when the need arises, which Crocodile agreed to Mihawk's suggestion. He was then, together with Crocodile, introduced by Buggy to his followers.

Buggy

Buggy is very vain and egotistical and seeks to be glorified and feared by others. When he was nine years old, he complained that the Whitebeard Pirates were receiving more attention in the newspaper than his crew, the Roger Pirates. He does not spend much of his time improving his own abilities to become a powerful fighter, but rather focuses mainly on recruiting powerful subordinates who do the hard work while simultaneously being subjected to him. If presented with an opportunity to make himself look good and recruit powerful followers, Buggy will take it. 

Abilities and Powers

Physical Abilities

Buggy possesses notable physical durability, as he quickly recovered after being hit by a Muggy Ball that Dracule Mihawk rebounded back toward him in Marineford. Although he avoided most of the damage by using his men as shields, Buggy was able to survive the explosion from a Buggy Ball that Luffy sent flying back at him and emerged from the wreckage of the collapsed tavern with no injuries. Additionally, although he does not have immunity to lightning like Luffy, he was able to quickly get back up after being struck on the Loguetown execution platform and immediately start chasing after Luffy. In Impel Down, he was able to walk through the extreme heat of Level 4 and extreme cold of Level 5 without suffering significant adverse effects.

Devil Fruit

Buggy ate the Bara Bara no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to split his body into pieces and reassemble them at will. This power also makes him immune to slashing attacks. With the exception of his feet, Buggy can make his disassembled body parts levitate and control them telekinetically. He can launch his body parts at high speed, allowing him to strike a distant target with strong force. He can also split his body to dodge opponents' attacks by detaching the section of his body that would have taken the attack and making it fly out of the way.

Luck

Rivaling Luffy and Zoro, Buggy has a ridiculous amount of dumb luck, where no matter how terrible a situation becomes for him, he somehow manages to survive, gaining more than he lost. He manages to become allies with Alvida, who rescued him from a giant crab, then located his missing parts. At Impel Down, Buggy earned followers in the form of the dangerous criminals, whose bounties surpasses his own, having freed them all, because Luffy arrived there at the same time to save Ace. 

Marshall D. Teach

Blackbeard's personality seems to be a strange mix of courage and cowardice, as well as high intellectual capacity and stupidity. While at times his character looks strong and fearsome, in others he will seem weak and ridiculous. He is very deceptive, joining the Whitebeard Pirates to find the Yami Yami no Mi and killing a fellow crewmate despite having spent two decades aboard the ship. He also deceived the Marines by joining the Seven Warlords of the Sea in an elaborate and convoluted fashion for the sole reason of gaining access to Impel Down in order to find new crewmates and later resigning from it in front of the fleet admiral himself saying that he does not need it anymore. He is also exceedingly power-hungry and greedy, aiming to become the next Pirate King.

Abilities and Powers

Tactical Skills

Blackbeard has shown himself to be an expert planner and a master at orchestrating manipulative schemes provided he has time to prepare; he waited two decades aboard the Moby Dick with the Whitebeard Pirates and even integrated with the crew dynamic solely to increase his opportunities of obtaining the Yami Yami no Mi (and also recruited some future members of his own crew during this time, indicating great charisma and leadership skills even as a regular crewmate).

Physical Abilities

Teach has an immense amount of superhuman endurance and durability. During his fight with Ace, he was engulfed in flames and pierced in the chest by two fire spears, but after putting out the flames, he was able to shake off the impact of the attacks. Another indication of his sheer endurance is shown when he took a Jet Pistol from an enraged Luffy, and was hit by one of Sengoku's shockwaves in his Daibutsu form only to come out with minor injuries both times.

Devil Fruits

Through an unknown method, Blackbeard became the first and so far, only known person to wield the powers of two Devil Fruits at the same time. Marco speculated that this was possible due to an unstated peculiarity unique to Blackbeard himself, having to do with an "atypical body structure" of some sort. He also pointed out that the other Whitebeard Pirates should be aware of this fact.

Yami Yami no Mi

Blackbeard ate the Yami Yami no Mi, a unique Logia-type Devil Fruit which allows him to create and control the element of darkness. The darkness appears reminiscent of a fiery black smoke. Unlike a normal Logia user, Blackbeard cannot turn intangible; in fact, any damage he takes will actually hurt worse than normal. Blackbeard has an infinite amount of space inside of his body made of darkness.

Gura Gura no Mi

Blackbeard, through currently unknown means, stole the power of the Gura Gura no Mi from the dead body of its previous user, Whitebeard. The Gura Gura no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that gives him the ability to cause earthquakes and generate powerful shockwaves. It is considered to be the strongest power of the Paramecia class, in addition, it is said that it has the power to destroy the entire world.

Busoshoku Haki

Blackbeard is an extremely skilled user of Busoshoku Haki. By hardening his arm, he was able to defend himself against a Seraphim's sword slash, which could cut Amazon Lily's large mountain in half.

Kenbunshoku Haki

Blackbeard is a highly skilled user of Kenbunshoku Haki. As he was able to sense that Luffy's bounty of Beli 30,000,000 was too low compared to his strength, and during his raid on Impel Down he was able to sense that Luffy's Haki had improved since meeting him in Jaya.

Shanks

Shanks is an extremely laid-back man, preferring to take his time by traveling around the world with his crew while enjoying himself as opposed to rushing from one place to another. This was already the case in his youth, where he was playful and innocent compared to the grumpy and opportunistic Buggy, his fellow apprentice. However, he still suffered from occasional bouts of immaturity, starting trivial arguments with Buggy solely out of stubbornness. In many ways, Shanks himself was like Luffy (as a child) in his younger years.

Abilities and Powers

Leadership

According to Brannew, one of Shanks' greatest attributes is his leadership and charisma, having managed to earn the absolute trust and loyalty of the most talented and capable individuals from the four seas and Grand Line all noted for having particularly high bounties and recruited them into his crew. The most prominent are his officers: Benn Beckman of North Blue, Yasopp of East Blue, and Lucky Roux of South Blue. This made Shanks' crew extremely well balanced and impregnable, able to contend equally with the enormous military power of Charlotte Linlin's Big Mom Pirates, Kaidou's Beasts Pirates, and Edward Newgate's Whitebeard Pirates.

Infiltration and Stealth

Shanks is incredibly skilled at infiltration and stealth, as shown when he successfully managed to infiltrate Mary Geoise by wearing only a cloak, a noteworthy feat considering that for most pirates, entering through Mary Geoise without being invited or enslaved is practically considered an impossible and unthinkable feat. He also avoided detection from the many guards and marines present.

Physical Abilities

Shanks is an excellent swimmer, having once swam deep into the ocean depths to save Buggy from drowning. He is pretty fast at swimming as well, able to rescue Luffy in the open ocean from a Sea King attack.

Swordsmanship

As former rival of Dracule Mihawk, the "Strongest Swordsman in the World", Shanks is an immensely skilled master swordsman. Prior to losing his left arm, he competed in ruthless duels on a daily basis with Mihawk.  Even after losing his his arm, Shanks is able to match a blow from Whitebeard which is a testament to his prowess in swordsmanship. He is also powerful enough to easily block Akainu's magma fist using only his sword and Busoshoku Haki.

Haoshoku Haki

Shanks possesses immense mastery in the usage of Haoshoku Haki, a rare type of Haki that only one in several million people in the world can use. It was first hinted sometime after his introduction, before the reveal of Haki, with him intimidating a Sea King with a single glare, causing it to flee for its life. When boarding the Moby Dick, the main ship of Edward Newgate, Shanks was capable of knocking dozens of his men unconscious, many of whom were seasoned men able to survive the New World, while the flagship itself, a ship able to survive the harsh conditions of the New World, was damaged from the sheer force of his presence, impressing those around him.

Busoshoku Haki

Shanks is an immensely skilled user of Busoshoku Haki. During the Summit War of Marineford, his Haki-infused sword easily blocked Akainu's magma-enhanced punch, which was powerful enough to burn enemies such as Ace, Jinbe, and even the Emperor Whitebeard.

Kenbunshoku Haki

Shanks is an immensely skilled user of Kenbunshoku Haki, able to sense a "weird" presence while he was miles outside Wano Country.

Monkey D. Garp

Garp is an eccentric but caring man, who is loyal to both his criminal family and the Marine Headquarters, who he has served for decades. He is loud, boisterous, exuberant, and overall acts in a similar manner to his grandson. He has a habit of falling asleep during conversations and can be absent-minded. Luffy's crew noted his, apparently hereditary, selfishness during Garp's interaction with Luffy in Water 7.

Unlike many Marines, Garp does not believe that a person's lineage determines their path. On a similar note, he does not believe that being labeled a criminal necessarily makes someone a bad person. Although Garp wanted his grandsons to become marines, he entrusted their care to a mountain bandit whom he had refused to turn over for prosecution.

Abilities and Powers

Garp is considered a living legend and is one of the strongest marines of all time. In his heyday he was famous for cornering Gol D. Roger many times, as he was one of the very few people capable of fighting the Pirate King. In fact, Roger states that he and Garp had almost killed each other many times throughout their battles. Due to his incredible power and popularity, Garp was offered the rank of admiral several times throughout his life but refused the promotion every time. As a testament to his strength, together with Roger he fought and defeated the Rocks Pirates, one of the strongest pirate crews in history that featured Roger's most formidable rival, Rocks D. Xebec, three future Emperors and other legendary pirates such as Shiki the Golden Lion. This tremendous feat earned Garp the title of Hero of the Marines.

Leadership

As a vice admiral of the Marine Headquarters, Garp has command over all lower ranking soldiers, as seen when he took two of Ripper's subordinates (Koby and Helmeppo) and made them his own subordinates instead due to his higher rank. Also, as a vice admiral, he has the potential to be called upon to be one of five vice admirals leading a fleet of ten battleships during a Buster Call.

Physical Abilities

Garp's strength is considered legendary. At his best he had monstrous punching power at his disposal, with his epithet, "Garp the Fist", attesting to the tremendous power of his punches. He claimed to have crushed eight mountains during his training to face Chinjao. This is proven when he was able to dent Chinjao's drill head, which was powerful enough to split the immensely hard Ice Continent in two, with relative ease. It is evident Whitebeard respects Garp's strength, as he mentioned him during his talk with Shanks.

Aramaki

Ryokugyu is shown to act in a casual and uncouth manner, being unafraid of expressing his mind. With friends and allies, he has been shown to act quite jovial and conversational, as seen by his talk with fellow admiral Fujitora. With enemies, however, Ryokugyu has expressed open contempt much like his direct superior Sakazuki, whom he wishes to emulate out of admiration. Ryokugyu agrees with Sakazuki's principle of never holding back when battling enemies, and is very much a follower of Absolute Justice. Thus, he is quite brutal during combat; he was shown impaling many of the Beasts Pirates in a gruesome manner during his attack on them and kicked Queen multiple times after impaling him.

Abilities and Powers

Physical Abilities

Ryokugyu's physical prowess are immense, befitting his position as a marine admiral. Despite having not eaten in three years, he has remained completely healthy and not lacking in energy. It should be noted that he has been shown absorbing liquid into his body via his Devil Fruit, with water being a key source of nutrients for plants; however, it has not been officially stated or indicated that this is the reason he has been able to fast for so long. Ryokugyu is an extremely resilient man, capable of taking an advanced Haoshoku Haki attack from Yamato directly to the head, and while he confessed the attack hurt and was impressed with Yamato's level of Haki, he was unphased by the attack.

Devil Fruit

Ryokugyu ate the Mori Mori no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform his body into plantlife. The plants he creates can be grown rapidly and moved around freely, seemingly not being limited by any rigidity that some plants, such as trees, normally possess. Notably, as plants are a solid element, he cannot turn intangible, though non-Haki attacks are still harmless to him and he will regenerate from any damage. Interestingly, he regenerates by sprouting out of the ground and growing back into his normal self.

Busoshoku Haki

Ryokugyu possesses the ability to use Busoshoku Haki. He is able to harden the tips of the branches he creates with his devil fruit powers.

Kenbunshoku Haki

Ryokugyu possesses the ability to use Kenbunshoku Haki. He was able to sense the Red Hair Pirates miles outside of Wano Country after Shanks used his Haoshoku Haki.

Issho

Fujitora is a virtuous man who cares greatly about doing the right thing and detests evil. His blindness is a result of him intentionally inflicting damage on his eyes out of sorrow for all the evil he had seen, with him stating in Dressrosa that not having sight is a blessing. His Justice motto as a Marine is "Humane Justice"). His primary goal is to protect people, telling a subordinate that it is more important to take into account the number of lives to protect rather than the number of enemies against them. He takes care to never put innocent civilians in harm's way during conflict and will try to avoid causing collateral damage with his attacks; when he does inflict such damage, he makes sure to compensate the owner of the involved property.

Physical Abilities

Fujitora's physical strength and fortitude are immense, befitting an admiral. He was able to defend against and repel powerful attacks from the likes of Roronoa Zoro, Sabo, and Luffy as well as clash with them (including the latter when using Gear 2 and Gear 3) with little to no visible effort. He could also withstand a kick from Doflamingo without issue using his sword. Incredibly resilient, Fujitora could guard against a Haki-imbued Gear 3 punch from Luffy without using his own Haki while remaining unhurt by the blow.

Swordsmanship

Fujitora possesses tremendous swordsmanship skills, which he combines with his Devil Fruit ability, channeling his gravity powers through his sword. Usually, Fujitora wields his weapon in a reverse-grip style, the blade pointing in the direction opposite to his thumb. Despite his blindness, the admiral has shown to be extremely skilled with his blade, able to deflect or block incoming attacks, even extremely strong ones or surprise attacks, with little issue using simple parrying maneuvers, demonstrating lightning-fast dexterity all the while. Fujitora's swordsmanship, combined with his Devil Fruit powers, allowed him to repeatedly and evenly clash with Sabo wielding his flame-shrouded staff and exhibit no trouble in doing so.

Devil Fruit

Fujitora ate the Zushi Zushi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to manipulate gravitational forces. The ability's range of effect can potentially span wide areas, even entire islands, and is primarily channeled through the admiral's sword.

Busoshoku Haki

Fujitora is a highly skilled user of Busoshoku Haki, being able to clash head-on with Sabo, a Logia user who himself is proficient with this Haki. Fujitora can focus a strong concentration of Haki into his sword, rendering it obsidian-black and strong enough to defend against the razor-sharp string bars of Doflamingo's Torikago, which can easily slice up cannonballs and stone buildings.

Kenbunshoku Haki

Fujitora possesses masterful skill in Kenbunshoku Haki, which he uses to compensate for his blindness in battle, and his incredible skill gives him a strong sense of danger. He can accurately predict fast (and surprise) attacks from enemies, like an unexpected kick from Doflamingo, and generally handle combat against extremely strong, fast, and agile enemies without apparent difficulty.

Borsalino

Kizaru comes off as a laid-back, easygoing man who seems to take most things lightly no matter the severity of the situation. He talks in a calm voice suiting this demeanor — in a sarcastically intonated, slow manner with the last syllable of a sentence often drawn out. He is prone to beginning sentences with a stressed "ooh", such as when observing something surprising or that piques his interest. Still, his register is quite formal (compared to Aokiji's more colloquial or Akainu's rougher, more derogatory speech patterns), using the polite "desu"/"masu" and taking care to address certain people with an honorific (such as his superior or even a pirate of high status). Kizaru is notably the only Admiral who prefers to be addressed by his real name.

Physical Abilities

Befitting his admiral status, Kizaru's physical prowess is immense. His raw strength was enough for him to trade equal blows with the elder (yet still extremely powerful) Rayleigh and even engage Whitebeard, who was the "Strongest man in the world" (the latter's bodily might, even in his old age, vastly exceeding a giant's), even holding down Whitebeard's large naginata down with just one foot, without a lot of effort. Generally, Kizaru's melee attack style empathizes incredibly heavy kicks via his ability to move at the speed of light, allowing Kizaru to easily demolish entire buildings and incapacitate pirates worth over Beli 100,000,000 with a single blow.

Swordsmanship

Kizaru has shown to be an extremely skilled swordsman, he could fight evenly against Rayleigh, an extremely skilled swordsman in his own right, to a draw even while having his intangibility negated by his foe's powerful Haki.

Marksmanship

He was also shown to have very good aim, managing to destroy the key Luffy was holding with a laser beam despite the great distance.

Devil Fruit

Kizaru ate the Pika Pika no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform his body into light. Among other things, he is able to move, travel, and perform kicks at the speed of light, shoot laser beams, and blind his opponents. For offense, Kizaru can shoot powerful laser beams from his fingertips and the bottoms of his feet, which can easily pierce through flesh and/or set off massive, heat-based explosions. He can fire a single laser with pinpoint accuracy or unleash a massive gatling of laser bullets over a wide area.

Busoshoku Haki

During the Summit War, Kizaru was seen using advanced-grade Busoshoku Haki to negate a long-distance quake shockwave sent out by Whitebeard, by generating, alongside his fellow admirals, an emitted shield combination of their three Haki to disperse said shockwave.

Sakazuki

While he is a strong and capable leader who has done well to consolidate the power and prestige of the Marines, Sakazuki would be best categorized as an extremist and highly dogmatic. He is an adamant believer in Absolute Justice and is ruthless in his maintenance of it, his derived motto being "Thorough Justice". He has a stern, dead-serious disposition, is grim, expressionless, and was the most ruthless out of three admirals pre-timeskip. 

This has given him a very fearsome reputation, but of greater concern is his dogmatism, which may end up making the Marines into a force that is worse than the enemies they hope to eliminate. Despite this disposition, Sakazuki seems to be able to restrain himself at times, having chosen to spare the life of Jewelry Bonney and her crew after they were left beaten and tied by the Blackbeard Pirates for the then-admiral to salvage, and letting his colleague Aokiji leave the Marines after he lost a ten-day duel for the position of fleet admiral.

Leadership and Intelligence

Attesting to Sakazuki's perceived leadership competencies and military acumen, he had many dignitaries of the government strongly push for him to succeed Sengoku as fleet admiral, over the latter's personal nomination of Kuzan. While known, feared, and disdained by some for his hardline, over-the-top methods, Sakazuki's prowess as a leader is undeniable. Indeed, as noted by Jinbe, the Marine HQ under him has grown far stronger and more determined than ever before, despite the resignations of Kuzan, Sengoku, and Garp, thus bearing out Sakazuki's capabilities.

As with all admirals, Sakazuki's physical prowess is immense. His raw physical strength was enough for him to go up against and clash evenly with Whitebeard in close quarters—the "Strongest Man in the World" who, in his old age, could still overpower a giant's strength easily. Using a single leg, Sakazuki held back a two-handed swing of the elder's large naginata, which came clad in a quake bubble to massively enhance its power. 

Devil Fruit

Sakazuki ate the Magu Magu no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform his body into magma. His magma is extremely hot and highly explosive,[58][59] thus making it well-suited for combat, allowing Sakazuki to burn, melt, and destroy anything in his path—in fact, among all Devil Fruits, Sakazuki's is said to offer the greatest attack power.
