Pretty much a 'if you don't think you can, you can't'.

Dorry abd brogy were completely resigned to killing one another, and so it worked. From there, the five (including zoro, stansen, and hajurden) incorrectly surmissed the one-shot-one-kill reverse method and, because they simply had the resolve to handily take down everything in their path, the attacks started working - choosing to one shot someone requires a lot of resolve as well. It's also why rocks took so long to take down. Roger and garp had zero idea of what was going on, so they actually weren't committed to killing rocks originally, so that was why they couldn't take him down.

Also, not one-shotting an immortal, who repairs any damage is going to shake your resolve, so you end up unable to kill someone because of that, so the immortality undermines your ability to do anything in the first place. Realistically, domi reversi would be a perfect ability... When you're not dealing with idiots.

But with chopper, his resolve to protect road, and smack the giant was actually all he needed. He wasn't 100% about killing the giant, but he was 100% on protection of road - and also did no damage to the giant, but the giant had the reversi knocked out of them. Chopper has no reason to waver in front of the giants - they aren't people he knows, so he's not going to have the whole 'but they are my friends!

It's actually a really good 'handicap' to domi reversi - and would explain why imu doesn't just use it to take over the world or something. You can't take a domi reversi army to a place where no one recognises them - cause then its just demons showing up, and if you saw a random demon, you might be scared, but you'd have no problem killing them.
