more related to elbaf. All the strawhat power ups since wci have been
something thematically related to them.

So happy there isn't a break, really hoping we get a bit more from usopp, thought he was going to have a peak moment but I know it's coming soon! So chopper being able to stop the domi reversi has me thinking his devil fruit might be the other one rock’s was looking for other than nidhog’s. Cus like why else was so it so effective.
On top of that, blackbeard was looking for a devil fruit on drum island and we all assumed he was looking for gomu/nika.
The nika devil fruit was practically erased from history, so idk how rock's would have learned about it. Even kuma didn't fully believe in luffy on that premise alone.
I'm still convinced the darkness fruit was the devil fruit rock's was looking for and passed that information on to bb. It still isn't clear what the full capabilities of the fruit are yet, but it appears to have the power to nullify devil fruit powers, which would be useful against, let's say, an immortal being.
