It always bothers me that someone who is capable of slashing mountains will only leave a slash mark when fighting enemies, it's like he is holding himself back. But can't really complain because with the shonen genre, it would be weird if there is so much blood and gore every sword fight. I think you need to check out some different shonen then. Dragonball had a few, and there were way more detailed ones than that. And even dragon ball changed throughout the years. Super had like 3 drops of blood in its entirety, whereas classic dbz was really bloody and some deaths like krillin's or freezer's were brutal. So far, a lot of usopps lies have come true. From having a massive group of strong fighters serving under him, to the goldfish poop of little garden, and everything in between.
One of usopps famous lies which he used multiple times is having a x ton hammer. Im not saying usopp will get ragnir, but I think it likely that he will at least temporarily team up with ragnir. I can see loki being reversied, and ragnir seeing usopps resolve to save elbaf - will judge him worthy. This would give usopp a huge moment in the arc as usopp lifts the hammer and delivers a blow to loki that gives luffy the opportunity to gain the upper hand and deliver a lethal blow that will bring loki back to normal.
Then afterwards, ragnir will likely go back to loki but there could be a scene where loki acknowledges usopp and allows ragnir to stay with usopp for the end battle.
