In One Piece Chapter 1181 Manga In English High Quality Scans, This chapter, "God and Devil," is absolute peak fiction and delivered one of the most visually insane clashes we've seen yet! Seeing Imu actually match Loki’s gargantuan size to block the Ragnir hammer with a massive black flame set the tone immediately, but my jaw actually dropped when Imu pulled out "Nemesis"a giant sword giving off major Mihawk vibes—and just impaled Loki right through the chest. Beyond the crazy action, Imu’s chilling monologue about humanity's cycle of power, corruption, and pacts leading to ultimate domination added so much philosophical weight to the villain, especially when it transitioned into that unexpected, rage-filled shout-out to Joyboy that heavily implies a tragic past friendship between them. Loki wasn't going down easy, though; slamming Imu into the Adam Tree and transforming into a dragon to unleash that devastating "Thorheim" blast was a spectacular counterattack, but Imu casually surviving it and smiling with that ominous "So you have returned..." is the ultimate cliffhanger. Leaving us on such a massive, lore-heavy revelation right before the agonizing Golden Week magazine break is pure torture, but it absolutely cements this chapter as a 10/10 masterpiece.

If imu is an artificial being like some have theorized, he could be powered by the mother flame. He could be producing the black flames from the energy of the mother flame. The mother flame could be in mj and imu simply energizes himself from it time to time. That could be why he can’t stay away for long ‘cause he would lose this energy and cannot re-energize without the mother flame. Nefertari probably partially destroyed the mother flame or its generator in mary geoise and absconded to alabasta 800 years ago. The d clan may have used the weapons to raise sea level and destroy all the tech that could bring imu et al power. Imu et al spawned the red line and suppressed the d clan to secure themselves. Imu had been surviving with the deteriorated mother flame or generator for so long. Imu then had to wait for civilization to evolve to this point where dr vegapunk re-invented the mother flame so imu can use it again to its fullest extent.

I don't know exactly how long oda plan to leave zoro, sanji, as well as some of the new giant warrior pirates injured like that, but assuming chopper were to heal those injuries, wouldn't it be more clues that his devil fruit may turn out to be that of the forest god or at least more powerful than we previously thought?

While the next chapter involving loki fighting imu may be worthwhile, would it also reveal how shanks stopped the accursed prince in the 1st place, since he knew loki's attempt would've backfired drastically? Why does it feel like strawhat pirates are playing pirate game after reading this chapter? Imu probably faces countless threats and different levels of power over 800 years and this seems like he got so fed up with those incarnations and decided to put them down once again. It doesn’t even feel like imu is putting effort in the fight, he just wants to get it over with and goes back to mary geoise.
