Seeing Imu actually match Loki’s gargantuan size to block the Ragnir hammer with a massive black flame set the tone immediately, but my jaw actually dropped when Imu pulled out "Nemesis"a giant sword giving off major Mihawk vibes—and just impaled Loki right through the chest. Beyond the crazy action, Imu’s chilling monologue about humanity's cycle of power, corruption, and pacts leading to ultimate domination added so much philosophical weight to the villain, especially when it transitioned into that unexpected, rage-filled shout-out to Joyboy that heavily implies a tragic past friendship between them. Loki wasn't going down easy, though; slamming Imu into the Adam Tree and transforming into a dragon to unleash that devastating "Thorheim" blast was a spectacular counterattack, but Imu casually surviving it and smiling with that ominous "So you have returned..." is the ultimate cliffhanger. Leaving us on such a massive, lore-heavy revelation right before the agonizing Golden Week magazine break is pure torture, but it absolutely cements this chapter as a 10/10 masterpiece.

Those eyes on that halo behind his back. He's so creepy.  It clearly takes from biblical angels called the ophanim, which are great fiery rings of eyes. Meanwhile the seraphim perfectly fit the theme as his subordinates.Interesting that his wings are feathered when they were bat-like while possessing gunko. I'm not sure that's another tally for 'he’s lunarian' though, king couldn't vanish his wings. Can't wait to learn what's the devil fruit and what's him. It does look fantastic. Maybe even with a little eneru-callback with the circle on his back?

The only gripe i have about imu’s design is his height. Monster-sized villains/antagonist are a dime a dozen by now (even luffy starts doing it too with his giant forms, adding to the inflation) and those looming enemy shots don’t work as well anymore. Luffy stood out usually because he looks small/unassuming and gets underestimated for it, but is a total powerhouse. I think it would have fit if imu had a similar thing going on.  

I also love how oda introduced that design element first as a cloud scarf (hagoromo) for luffy and yamato, then made it black for lucci and the gorosei, and now adapted into black flames for the big bad.  Imu is an absolute monster. Zoro and sanji getting low diffed like nothing, another training arc incoming. This is sabody archipalego 2.0 objective is to not get killed. Poor gerd hopefully chopper is able to stich back her fingers. That last page double spreads is dope as hell,  oda's intentionally letting luffy not see imu first.
